Damen’s New High-Speed Ferry Hits the Water at Afai

On October 9th, the 4010 high-speed ferry built by Afai Southern Shipyard (Panyu Guangzhou) Ltd for Damen Group, the Netherlands, launched successfully.

This vessel adopts the design of a catamaran, featuring full aluminum structure, with the overall length of 39.9m, beam of 10.7m and draft of 2.55m. With a maximum speed of 39 knots, the vessel gives out an impression of gracefulness and elegance of shape.

The launching marks Afai’s completion of  another contracted project of international high-end ferry in stages. It further cements the shipyard’s position on the international market.
