The new-build subsea support vessel, named MV Deep Helder, was launched at De Hoop’s Foxhol Yard in Groningen on 23rd April.

Deep Helder will be equipped with Survey and ROV systems, an offshore crane and 3 moonpools. The vessel will be ready for operations by July this year. A total of 50 personnel can be accommodated on the vessel.

Deep Helder will be a cost effective vessel that we plan to operate on Survey (Geophysics, Inspection & Geotechnical) , IMR and light weight trenching, excavation and Mattress Installation projects for our customers in the oil & gas and renewable markets” says Rick Green, DeepOcean’s General Manager of DeepOcean B.V.

The 65 m long DP2 class & 4 point mooring vessel is designed for low fuel consumption, clean ship/green passport/SPS2008 and high comfort class notation (Comf1). The ship management and marine crewing shall be undertaken by Seamar Subsea B.V and the vessel shall sail under Dutch Flag.
