Deep Down Appoints New Independent Board Member

Deep Down, Inc., an oilfield services company specializing in complex deepwater and ultra-deepwater oil production distribution system support services, informed that Mark Carden has joined its Board of Directors as an independent director, effective May 1, 2014.

Carden was a Partner at Coopers & Lybrand, LLP, now PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP and held multiple senior-level financial positions from 1981 to 1999; he most recently served as Chief Operating Officer, Global Energy Assurance Practice. Additionally, Carden was one of three CPAs in the US selected to serve a two year fellowship at the Financial Accounting Standards Board from 1991 to 1993. Carden holds a BBA (graduated Cum Laude) from Texas A&M University.  He is currently the Executive Pastor and Elder at Clear Creek Community Church.
