DeepOcean’s scope includes subsea work across all Vår Energi’s operated assets on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS), covering IMR activities, project support for offshore modifications, installation, commissioning and drilling operations, as well as associated project management and engineering services.

The contract has a firm duration of five years, running until the end of October 2030, with options to extend for up to an additional four years.

“Vår Energi has strong ambitions to foster a collaborative relationship, unlock efficiencies and drive value creation. We will build on this partnership by further sharpening our ability to respond rapidly and decisively to Vår Energi’s operational subsea needs,” said Olaf Hansen, Managing Director of DeepOcean Europe.

“A close and long-term partnership is essential to achieve our joint goals, and with our technical expertise and can-do attitude, I am confident we will make this a success.”

DeepOcean also recently secured an extension of the existing frame agreement with Norway’s state-owned oil & gas company Equinor for subsea IMR services. With this contract, DeepOcean will deliver uninterrupted IMR activities for Equinor from 2006 to 2035, making an IMR collaboration that spans three decades.
