Denmark: Grenaa Harbour to Celebrate Its 200 Years and 111 Turbine at Anholt OWF in 2013

Denmark Grenaa Harbour to Celebrate 200 Years and 111 Turbine at Anholt OWF in 2013

2013 is a special year for Grenaa. This year, it is 200 years since Grenaa Harbour was established, and 111 is the number of offshore wind turbines which will soon be completed at sea between the island of Anholt and Djursland in Denmark’s largest offshore wind farm yet, which has been shipped from Grenaa Havn A/S. The two events will be celebrated with a regional celebration.

Three parties have joined forces on celebrating the double event on 8 June 2013. DONG Energy A/S, Grenaa Havn A/S and the municipality of Norddjurs cooperate on making the day into a celebration for the citizens of Grenaa and Norddjurs and everybody else who would like to join.

The event will be a national celebration with something for every taste: music, fairground, activities, food stands and much more and will have its own website with further information within a few weeks.
