Derrick Lay Barge Norce Endeavour Disabled Off Australia

Derrick Lay Barge Norce Endeavour has been reported adrift in the Indian Ocean, Maritime Bulletin reports.

The DLB is disabled with 47 crew onboard around 35 nautical miles west of Geraldton in Australia.

The DLB NorCE Endeavour is a marine construction barge operated by NorCE Offshore. The barge is equipped with eight point mooring systems.

Pipelay equipment onboard consists of eight stations feeding the main pipelay firing line. The pipe handling system is capable of handling up to 48” diameter pipes.

Tension capacity is 150 metric tonnes (mT). The vessel is equipped with 1100 mT capacity revolving tub crane mounted at the stern.
