Diving Vessel Rybinsk Starts Operation (Russia)

On August 15, 2012 Yaroslavl Shipyard (Private Joint Stock Management Company “VP FINSUDPROM”) put into operation seagoing diving vessel “Rybinsk” (building No is of 204) of SDS08 project for state customer.

Vessel was built for FSUC State Maritime Salvage Department under the order of Federal Agency of the Maritime and River Transport of RF Ministry of Transport. “Rybinsk” will be operated within Baltic Department of Salvage and Diving Works.

Design of SDS08 class project was carried out by the Marine Engineering Bureau. Working and technologic documentation are developed by the PDB “Petrobalt” (Georgiy Taritsa is a general director).

SDS08 prj. seagoing diving vessel has Ice 2 class, inclined stem and transom aft end, long forecastle, deckhouse located fore. Vessel also has engine room located aft, diesel main engines, two controllable-pitch propellers and bow thruster.
