DOF sheds 1996-built platform supplier

Norwegian shipping company DOF has sold one of its platform supply vessel to an undisclosed client.

DOF said in an Oslo Stock Exchange filing on Friday it had sold and delivered the PSV Skandi Marstein to a new owner on Thursday.

The sale will not have any significant liquidity impact or impact on the accounts, said DOF.

The Skandi Marstein is of an MT 6000 design. Since its delivery to DOF in 1996, it has been operating in the North Sea. According to the company, the vessel has been in lay up since late autumn 2017.

The sale is in line with DOF Group’s strategy to divest the oldest part of the fleet. Also as part of its divestment plans, DOF in November sold one of its anchor handling vessels.
