DOF Subsea scoops FPSO hook-up gig off Nigeria

Subsea engineering and marine services company DOF Subsea has been awarded an FPSO hook-up contract offshore Nigeria.

DOF Subsea, a subsidiary of DOF ASA, said on Thursday that it was awarded a contract in the Atlantic region for FPSO hook-up off Nigeria.

According to DOF Subsea, the company will deploy the Skandi Skansen vessel to undertake the works in the third quarter of 2018.

The company did not disclose the name of the client or any other details regarding the contract.

As for the vessel, the Skandi Skansen is a high-powered anchor handling vessel designed for field installation operations across a wide range of water depths and environmental conditions.

Skandi Skansen is also classified as a CSV as the vessel is equipped to carry out construction support activities. The vessel is 107.2 meters long, 24 meters wide, and features an STX bow design, optimized for Eco-drive in all weather conditions.

According to latest AIS data provided by VesselsValue, the vessel is currently located in Stavanger, Norway.
