Dolphin receives contract for Pacific survey

The company said the contract would start at the end of the year and would take roughly three months to complete the survey.

The name of the client was not disclosed, but Dolphin said that the customer was a large independent oil company.

Also, Dolphin, while not revealing the name of the vessel, said it will use one of its high-capacity vessels, capable of towing more than 12 seismic cables and with transit speed of 17-18 knots.

This contract comes less then a week after Dolphin announced it had been hired by TGS to carry out the Nerites Season 2 survey located in the Bight’s deep water Ceduna Sub-basin in Australia, covering 13.000 sq.km.
