Dolphin Telecoms to Land ACE Submarine Cable in Nigeria

 

Dolphin Telecoms, an operator of the Africa Coast to Europe (ACE) submarine cable system in West Africa, announced that it would land the $700 million cable in Nigeria in Q4 of this year.

The ACE cable connects Europe to the West coast of Africa with landing stations in Accra, Dakar, Lagos, Gambia and Senegal.

Dolphin Telecoms made an announcement about the landing of the cable during the fourth NigeriaCom exhibition and conference in Lagos.

The company is investing over $70 million in the ACE submarine cable, which makes it the second largest investor in ACE system, All Africa reports.

According to Managing Director of Dolphin Telecoms, Mr. Abdel Mageid Elzain, the company is expecting to complete the installation of the cable by the end of October 2013.
