Dorian LPG Adds Two, Postpones One VLGC

Dorian LPG, a U.S.-based liquefied petroleum gas shipping company, has taken delivery of the very large gas carrier (VLGC) Commodore from Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries and the VLGC Cresques from Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME).

The two 84,000 cbm Eco VLGCs will be Dorian LPG’s ninth and tenth newbuilding deliveries and the first of three to be delivered from DSME.

The next VLGC in line to be delivered by Hyndai Samho – Cheyenne – will be handed over to Dorian in the fourth quarter of 2015, instead of prior to September 30 as previously advised.

With the newly-delivered Commodore and Cresques, Dorian LPG currently owns and operates 13 VLGCs and one pressurized LPG carrier. In addition, Dorian LPG has nine 84,000 cbm Eco VLGC newbuildings under construction.
