Drydocks Launches Global Offshore Services Arm in Dubai

Drydocks World, the UAE-based group engaged in ship repair, conversion, new building, Rigs and offshore construction, announced the launch of its Drydocks World – Global Offshore Services arm at a special ceremony organised at Dubai Maritime City, the new business units located in Fujairah and Dubai Maritime City and Drydocks Dubai.

This Division has at its disposal highly efficient technical teams ever-prepared to be mobilized at short notice to service vessels at distant offshore locations. High and Well-equipped workshops in the Emirates of Dubai and Fujairah offer sophisticated support services.

 “The reinforcement of Drydocks World – Global Offshore Services with an extension in Fujairah supporting our main workshop in Dubai is part of our long-term business strategy.  The unit will work 24 hours per week (24/7). It is a move to provide the know-how and technical expertise far and wide. The accumulated expertise and experience of the shipyard further adds value to the services that we offer,” said Khamis Juma Buamim, Chairman of Drydocks World and Maritime World.

He said that the company’s vision was  to broaden the reach of its services and to fulfill repair and maintenance needs of vessels, rigs and yacht owners at offshore locations and overseas.

Drydocks World -Global Offshore Services has the capacity of equipment, energiy and expertise to execute most projects overseas, including the maintenance and repair during the vessel journey from one country to another. Also provides added strength to the main yard for technical and specialist assistance, when necessary. The teams have been active in far flung areas such as the Far East, Indian Ocean, Middle East, North and West Africa and the Arabian Gulf, Arabian Sea, Europe and the Americas.
