The newbuild, with the capacity to transport 173,400 cubic meters of the chilled fueled, will feature the M-type, Electronically Controlled, Gas Injection (MEGI) engine and a full re-liquefaction system (FRS).

The vessel will be built at DSME’s Okpo shipyard and is scheduled for delivery in 2020.

DSME noted that this order adds to the list of newbuild orders it has received this year. So far in 2018, the shipyard won orders for a total of 28 vessels worth $3.54 billion, including 12 LNG carriers, 15 large crude oil carriers, and one special vessel.
