Ebara International Scores Petronas LNG Contract, Malaysia

The Cryodynamics Division of Ebara International Corporation announced their recent contract award from JGC in Yokohama, Japan, to deliver 12 Cryogenic Pumps & Expanders (8 Pumps, 2 Expanders, 2 Capital Spare Expanders) for the upcoming Malaysia LNG Train 9 Project, scheduled for facility completion at the end of 2015.

This additional train, Train 9, will have a capacity of approximately 3.6 million tons of LNG per year and its feedstock will be supplied from PETRONAS’ newly developed offshore gas fields, off the coast of Sarawak, Malaysia.

Ebara Cryodynamics is recognized as the foremost producer of submersible pumps and expanders for the ever-growing LNG and liquefied gas industries. With well over 6000 units installed aboard LNG Carriers and land based installations, Ebara is represented at the vast majority of LNG operations in liquefaction, marine transport and re-gasification applications, worldwide.
