Eidesvik said on Wednesday that Aker BP hired the Viking Prince large platform supplier under a frame agreement between the companies.

The company added that the firm contract duration was for 12 months set to begin in the third quarter of 2019.

It is worth noting that the contract may be extended beyond the fixed period. The shipping company did not reveal the value or any other details of the deal.

Viking Prince is a PSV of a VS489 design built by Kleven Verft. The LNG-powered vessel was named in Aalesund, Norway, in March 2012 and delivered to Eidesvik the following month.
