Enemalta Issues EOIC for Gas Supply Agreement

Enemalta has issued an Expression of Interest and Capability (EoIC) for a long-term Power Purchase Agreement and a Gas Supply Agreement.

In line with the policies of the Ministry for Energy and the Conservation of Water, the EoIC will invite prospective candidates to register their interest and submit outline proposals for the supply of natural gas and electricity to Enemalta under long term gas supply and power purchase agreement.

The gas supply agreement will be required to operate current Enemalta plant which will be converted to run on natural gas. This will result in the reduction of both electricity costs and emissions in line with the European Union energy roadmap.

Pre-qualified Candidates will be invited to bid for the Power Purchase Agreement and/or the Gas Supply Agreement and commence supply by spring 2015.
