Ertech Secures Gorgon Contract

WA Commerce Minister Simon O’Brien today congratulated a Western Australian-based construction company for securing a $50 million general services contract for the Chevron-operated Gorgon Project.

Ertech winning this contract is a strong indication that WA-based suppliers have the skills and capabilities to support some of the nation’s headline resource and infrastructure projects in every phase of their development,” Mr O’Brien said.

Under the contract, the company will provide a multi-skilled workforce and equipment to support construction activities of the gas processing plant on Barrow Island, including road works; earthworks and civil; mechanical; electrical; and building works.

Mr O’Brien said Ertech had delivered more than $200million of construction works for Chevron since 2009, making this the company’s third consecutive contract.

Earlier this year, I opened the company’s new quarantine and logistics warehouse in Wangara which was commissioned as a direct result of the demand created by contracts won from the Gorgon Project,” he said.

This is a good indication of the company’s capacity to produce high-quality work – a culture that seems to run throughout the entire organisation.”
