Estonia: LNG center planned for Port of Pärnu

LNG Gorskaya Overseas signed a letter of intent with Estonia’s Port of Pärnu to establish a liquefied natural gas center in the harbor. 

The LNG center will consist of newbuilding LNG floating storage with a maximal capacity of 5,500-cbm, the bunkering vessel with a volume of tanks of 1.300-cbm, a specialized pier and other port equipment necessary for storage, bunkering of vessels, gas station for tracks and use of LNG in the municipal purposes.

According to the company’s statement, the commissioning of the center is planned for December 2018.

With the signing of the LOI, the Port of Pärnu became the fifth Baltic port to have signed the agreement with LNG Gorskaya Overseas, to build LNG bunkering infrastructure.  It joins the ports of Riga, Mõntu Port, Port of Lübeck, and the Liepaja Oil terminal.
