Europe Technologies signed a memorandum of understanding with Chantier Naval De Marseille (CNM) to cooperate on LNG carrier membrane containment systems repair.

In addition to LNG carriers, the two companies intend to perform repair services on floating storage and regasification units (FSRU) and in the future, on vessels using membrane tanks for LNG fuel.

The partnership aims to attract ship owners to perform dry dock surveys at CNM Marseille, Europe Technologies said in its statement.

In 2013, Europe Technologies has been granted a Technical Service Agreement from France’s LNG containment specialist GTT, for repairing and maintenance of membrane containment systems.

At the end of 2016, Europe Technologies signed a similar memorandum of understanding with the Shipbuilding and Repair Development Company of Trinidad and Tobago.
