EWC: Pagbilao LNG hub moves ahead (Gallery)

Energy World Corp is moving ahead with the construction works at its Pagbilao LNG facility in the Philippines. 

In its filing to the stock exchange, EWC said the representatives from the Department of Energy and House of Representatives visited the site and reviewed the progress made on the facility’s 322 meter LNG jetty, the facility itself and the combined cycle power plant.

EWC is developing an LNG hub which includes a 130,000 cbm LNG storage tank, a jetty and receiving and re-export terminal for berthing, unloading and reloading LNG ships and related support facilities, as well as a power plant adjacent to the LNG terminal with the capacity 650 MW electricity production capacity.

The facility is expected to start up by the end of 2016, and the company has recently executed financing for its LNG terminal in the amount of approximately US$32 million.
