Ex-Bibby man joins M² Subsea’s U.S. operations

Subsea services business based in Aberdeen and Houston, M² Subsea, has appointed a new general manager and senior vice president of commercial for its U.S. operation.

The subsea player said on Thursday that former commercial manager of Bibby Offshore’s North American subsea division, Paddy Hardey, would be taking up the two positions.

He would be responsible for implementing the firm’s global commercial and contracting principals ensuring the strategic development and continued growth of the company.

Hardey will oversee the Texas-based U.S. business and all commercial activity, tenders, and contract negotiations across M² Subsea’s core business functions.

M² added that the new appointment was a part of the company’s growth strategy which included the opening of a UK base in Aberdeen and the announcement of the firm’s plans to create over 50 onshore and 100 offshore jobs by the end of the year.

The company noted that Hardey brings with him substantial experience in business management having held several senior-level roles in the oil and gas industry. Apart from his commercial manager role in Bibby, he was the commercial manager for Halliburton’s Pipeline and Precommissioning business in Aberdeen.
