ExxonMobil 3Q Earnings Down 7 Pct (USA)
The largest energy company in the world by market value, ExxonMobil today, November 1, reported a 7 percent drop in its quarterly profit.
In a press release issued today, the U.S. oil giant revealed that its third quarter 2012 earnings were $9.6 billion, compared to $10,3 billion earned in the same quarter a year ago.
The company’s capital and exploration expenditures were $9.2 billion, up 7% from the third quarter of 2011.
Oil-equivalent production decreased 7.5% from the third quarter of 2011.
