Farstad Shipping Takes Delivery of Far Sigma

Vard Langsten yard today delivered an anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessel, the Far Sigma (UT 731 CD), to the Farstad Supply AS, a subsidiary of Farstad Shipping ASA.

The UT 731 CD vessel is designed to work in extreme environmental conditions and carry out operations in waters as deep as 3,000 metres. With a total length of 87.4m, breadth of 21.0m, the ship has a bollard pull of approx. 260 tons and installed power of approx. 24,000 BHP.

Far Sigma, built according to DNV’s strictest environmental class the “Clean Design”, will operate in the North Sea.
