First Damen SeaExplorer Sold

Dutch shipbuilders Amels and Damen have sold the first Damen SeaExplorer 65, a purpose-built, Polar Code compliant expedition yacht with full capability for remote destinations.

The 65, 90 and 100-meter yacht range debuted in September 2015 at Monaco Yacht Show.

The expedition yacht offers 40 days of autonomy without port call and complies with the stringent new environmental and safety standards in the IMO Polar Code’s B Category.

With its gross tonnage of 2,000 tons, the SeaExplorer 65 can accommodate 12 passengers and 20 crew.

The yacht features a length of 65 meters and a width of 14 meters.

Following the sale, the SeaExplorer 65 is scheduled for delivery in 2019.
