Fort Pierce Dredging Project Progresses Well

The Fort Pierce marina dredging project is about 70 percent complete and is proceeding on schedule and within budget, according to tcpalm.com.

Regarding this great success, Edward Seissiger, the project coordinator, stated; “We are looking for substantial completion at the end of May.”

An important part of this development program, the Tern Island filling operations, may be about 90 percent wrapped up so far.

According to tcpalm.com, around 8,000 cubic yards of sand and material from the dredging project has been used to replenish this area.

The Fort Pierce marina dredging project is part of an $18.8 million Stormwater Waterfront Protection Project, funded by the Florida Emergency Management Agency’s Mitigation Project.
