FSRU Höegh Grace receives first cargo in Colombia

Norway-based Höegh LNG said its FSRU Höegh Grace received its first cargo in Cartagena, Colombia.

According to a brief social media post by Höegh LNG, BP’s liquefied natural gas carrier British Innovator, with the capacity to transport 138,283 cubic meters of the chilled fuel, docked alongside the FSRU, that arrived in Colombia in the beginning of November.

The AIS data provided by the vessel tracking website, MarineTraffic, shows that the cargo was sourced from the Atlantic LNG facility in Point Fortin, Trinidad and Tobago.

With the delivery, FSRU Höegh Grace enters its commissioning phase, that will lead up to the start of commercial operations under the 20-year contract with Sociedad Portuaria El Cayao (SPEC) planned for early December 2016.

The FSRU Höegh Grace has the capacity to transport 170,000-cbm of LNG and has a regasification capacity of 500 mmscf/d.

The vessel served as an LNG carrier under a contract with Trafigura before arriving in Cartagena at the beginning of November.
