Fugro Bags Survey Contract from Subsea 7

Fugro has been awarded a contract by Subsea 7 Australia Contracting Pty Ltd to provide survey services to support its Heavy Lift and Tie-Ins contract on the Chevron-operated Gorgon Project, off the northwest coast of Western Australia.

The contract involves the provision of a DP2 survey vessel, complete with deepwater work class ROVs.

Mobilising its multi-role vessel “Rem Etive,” Fugro will undertake the installation and calibration of LBL arrays, in parallel with spoolpiece metrology operations on a 24 hour basis. It will also provide specialist survey personnel and equipment.

The work will take place at the Gorgon and Jansz-Io fields in water depths ranging from 200 to 1350 metres and will be performed in accordance with the Gorgon Project’s stringent quarantine requirements and high operational standards. The contract commences in December 2013 and is expected to run for approximately 70 days, excluding options.
