Fugro scoops 3-year IRM contract in Asia-Pacific region

Geotechnical, survey, subsea and geosciences services provider Fugro has been awarded a framework contract for inspection, repair, and maintenance (IRM) services in the Asia Pacific region.

Fugro said on Thursday that, under the terms of the contract, IRM services could be called off as needed by an unnamed client.

The total value of the contract is estimated at around EUR 80 million ($86.4 million) over a three-year period with the work expected to begin in the second half of 2017.

The services under the scope of the contract cover a range of inspection and engineering activities across the client’s operated offshore facilities, targeted at keeping them operational and in good condition.

The services will be provided from Fugro’s Asset Integrity business line which is centered around inspection and monitoring services.

Mark Heine, Divisional Director Marine at Fugro, said: “We now have three multi-year IRM contracts in Asia Pacific, creating a solid base for this region’s Asset Integrity business line during the coming years.”
