GAIL snatches two LNG cargoes

India’s GAIL has reportedly bought two cargoes of liquefied natural gas to be delivered in September.

Sources told Reuters that the company acquired the two cargoes following a tender that was issued in July.

Local media link the tender, that looked for cargoes for prompt delivery, to the recent approval by the government to use the imported gas for energy and fertilizer production that is expected to increase India’s demand for gas.
