Galileo compressors for Vaca Muerta shale gas

Tetratech Inc. increased their demand for Galileo MX 400 compressors and thirteen units have already been started, two more than initially planned.

These compressors with 400 Kw of power form two Early Production Facilities (EPF) destined to process shale gas from Vaca Muerta wells, which are under control of YPF, the Argentine state-owned oil company, Galileo said in a statement.

Both EPF, located in Loma Campana in Neuquen province in Argentina, will jointly provide a nominal daily volume that exceeds one million cubic meters of unprocessed natural gas. To guarantee their autonomy, each two-stage compressor is coupled to an engine propelled by the gas to be compressed.

The provision and start-up of the equipment depended on Galileo Rental, allowing Tetratech Inc. to obtain the equipment without forcing an investment in fixed assets.
