Gallery: AIDAprima Kisses Rotterdam

Rotterdam seems to have become one of the favorite stops for cruise ships. Following last week’s call from Ovation of the Seas people in Rotterdam were treated to a visit from another cruise ship giant. Namely, AIDAprima, a newly-built cruise ship owned by German-based cruise line AIDA Cruises, arrived yesterday to this Dutch city.

The ship is currently sailing on its first voyage from Nagasaki to Hamburg, with its route having included several ports.

After being in Andalusian Cadiz for a couple of days, the cruise ship reached Cruise Port Rotterdam, which is its last port on its way home to Hamburg. The vessel is scheduled to reach its German home port on April 21.

AIDAprima was built at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries shipyard. This 9,200 dwt cruise ship has a length of 300 m, width of 37 m and height of 54 m.

Built to accommodate 3,300 guests and over 900 crew members, AIDAprima will be christened on May 7 on the 827th Hamburg Port Anniversary.

The following are the images of the cruise ship’s arrival to Rotterdam.
