Gardline CGG Concludes Gippsland 2D Infill Survey Gig

Gardline CGG (GCGG), a Joint Venture between Gardline Geosurvey and CGG, has completed the Gippsland 2D Infill survey for Geoscience Australia on Friday 24th April.

The project was conducted and completed by the Gardline CGG-operated vessel MV Duke, on time, within budget and without any incidents despite encountering some challenging sea conditions at times, the company informed in a press release.

The team worked in a safe and efficient manner to acquire the full 2D infill program. Thanks to the versatility of Duke, additional datasets such as multibeam bathymetry, water column data, seabed backscatter and sub-bottom profiling data were acquired within the seismic acquisition budget.

According to Gardline CGG, the combination of these additional dataset and conventional 2D seismic will allow for a better understanding of processes in the area.

“Geoscience Australia was very pleased with the data acquisition and professionalism of Gardline CGG Pte Ltd,” commented Geoscience Australia’s team leader.
