Gaz-System Plans to Increase Gas Supplies in Radom Region

The Gas Transmission Operator GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. and the Mazowiecka Spółka Gazownictwa Sp. z o.o. have signed a cooperation agreement concerning making transmission of greater quantities of gas available to Radom and the surroundings.

The purpose of the agreement signed by the Companies on 4 September 2012 is increasing gas supplies to customers in the Radom region. The Companies have planned actions that are both intervening and long-term. The first stage will include actions that are expedient in nature. In the direct vicinity of the Sękocin gas station, GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. will build a gas compressing facility in the Sękocin – Lubienia distribution gas pipeline towards the Radom direction. This will enable the gas pressure to be increased in this gas pipeline.

The Companies will also undertake coordinated investments that in the future, long-term perspective will enable gas to be supplied to the Radom region from the eastern direction.

GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. will build a high-pressure gas pipeline to Kozienice, whereas the Mazowiecka Spółka Gazownictwa will develop the distribution system, enabling the direction of supply to be changed for the Radom region from the Sękocin direction to supplies from the Kozienice direction.

The performance of these investments will completely satisfy the demands of this region in terms of the demand for natural gas and will enable its further development based on gas fuel.
