Gazprom’s gas supply to Poland back at full capacity after drop

Polish gas transmission operator, Gaz-System, informed that Gazprom’s deliveries of gas via Ukraine have returned to full capacity following a 20 percent drop on Thursday and Friday.

The company informed in a statement that the volumes delivered at the Drozdowicze point dropped below the contracted volumes.

Ukrtransgaz informed the Polish pipeline operator that it had not received any explanation from Gazprom, when seeking an explanation for the drop.

The pressure reverted back to normal on July 1, Gaz-System said. It added that due to the low demand for gas during the period, the temporary reduction caused no issues to gas deliveries.

Polish LNG terminal at Swinoujscie that had recently started receiving commercial cargoes ensured that Polish gas supply system remained stable during the drop in supply from Gazprom.

The facility received its first spot cargo just three days before the disruption, on June 27.
