Sand Works at Jade Weser Port Completed

Sand pumping at the Wilhelmshaven’s Jade Weser Port terminal has been completed with the utilization of 45.9 million cubic meters of sand.

The terminal development started in May 2008 and the material used for construction of the 360-acre port area has been transported from the north, south and the fairway sand mining areas.

This prosperous project required simultaneously deployed five excavators and a working group needed for supervising the construction of large appliances.

The deep-water container port Jade Weser Port will be operational as of 5 August, 2012.
