Gjøa Platform Turnaround. 18 Days. 100 Workers. 8000 Hours

Gjøa Platform. 18 Days. 8000 Hours. 100 Workers.

In the period of 23 August to 10 September, GDF SUEZ E&P Norge is carrying out the first turnaround in the history of the Gjøa platform.

During 18 days, an estimate of 8000 hours of planned work will be carried out by the 90-100 persons who will be onboard the platform at all times.

The timing of the Gjøa turnaround was planned after receiving the information that the St.Fergus gas terminal in Scotland (which receives the gas from Gjøa) will have its planned shut-down in this time period.

Gjøa has been part of the GDF SUEZ portfolio since 2003 with reserves estimated at 40 billion cubic meters of gas and 82 million barrels of oil.

The Gjøa field has been developed with the semi-submersible production platform and five subsea installations, with very high HSE standards.

The daily production capacity of the Gjøa platform is 17 million cubic meters of gas and 87,000 barrels of oil.
