GEOS said on Monday that the Energy Scout PSV had entered into a spot contract with Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCO) on January 19, 2019.

According to the company, the Energy Scout vessel remained on the contract with SNEPCO until recently.

GEOS now entered into a new medium-term contract with Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) in direct continuation and the vessel will stay under contract until the end of July plus options to extend.

The company added that the vessel already started the new contract. The financial and other details of the contract were not disclosed, but GEOS did say that the terms reflect the market in the region which is reasonably tight on availability of this type of high-spec PSV tonnage.

Energy Scout is of a UT 755-L design and is a mechanically driven supply ship built by Brevik Construction and delivered in 2005. The vessel is designed for field supply & ROV duties, equipped with four thrusters and DP-2 class dynamic positioning system and is meant for all kind of offshore services.
