Grand Celebration’s First Voyage Cancelled

The first voyage of Carnival’s cruise ship Grand Celebration from the Port of Palm Beach, scheduled for Sunday, was postponed, the Palm Beach Post writes.

Namely, the US Coast Guard could not clear the ship’s inaugural voyage to Grand Bahama Island due to a faulty public address system.

The voyage cancellation left 1,900 passengers waiting for hours in long lines at the Port of Palm Beach.

However, it has been reported that all passengers will be refunded or receive additional free cruise.

Grand Celebration replaced the Bahama Celebration on the route as the latter was rendered inoperable after it ran aground in November in the Bahamas.

The ship is expected to leave port on Tuesday.
