The newbuild has been ordered by the Greek shipowner Minerva with delivery scheduled for the first quarter of 2021, GTT said in a statement.

The tanks of this vessel will be fitted with the Mark III Flex+ membrane containment system developed by GTT. The system has a boil-off rate of 0.07 percent of tank volume per day.

Speaking of the order, GTT’s CEO and chairman Philippe Berterottière, said that the order by Minerva, the newcomer to the LNG industry, has lifted the number of LNG carriers to be equipped with the new Mark III Flex+ technology to five.
