GTT tech ordered for Teekay’s LNG newbuilds

GTT of France informed of an order for its containment system for three large liquefied natural gas carriers.

The vessels will be built by the Korean Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering for Teekay.

The LNGCs are expected to be delivered throughout 2018 and will be built with the innovative NO 96 GW technology, which allows an optimized boil-off rate of cargo LNG, GTT said in a statement.
