IHC Metalix puts unique bevel robot into operation

IHC Metalix has put a new bevel robot into operation. This robot produces complex final forms in steel components in a single cutting operation. Consequently, IHC Metalix expects a 75% reduction in the changeover time and a significant improvement in quality. This means that the newly added bevel robot is an important innovation in the field.

The bevel robot, which was recently developed by IHC Metalix, is able to produce all types of final forms in steel plates from 10 to 300 mm thick. The unique adjustable cutter head, which can be moved from 0 to 180°, makes it possible for both the top and the bottom of the plate to be bevelled directly. This means that heavy steel plates do not need to be turned over, which saves a lot of time.
