Chevron debuts offshore oil field

San Ramon-based Chevron Corp. (CVX), said its subsidiary Cabinda Gulf Oil Co. Ltd. began pumping oil from the Belize Field, a deepwater field 50 miles offshore from Angola, a country on the Western coast of Africa.
