Japanese yards urged to downplay prices to secure their future

Shipyards in Japan will have to focus on their technological and innovative advantages over South Korea and China, if they hope to win orders in the future, even if the global economy recovers quickly. Takao Motoyama, the Chairman of the Shipbuilders’ Association of Japan (JSEA), said during a recent press conferece that if the order drought continued, Japanese yards would certainly face difficulties.
