Carriers increase vessel size in Americas service

Shipping line’s Hamburg Süd and Aliança are increasing the size of vessels that operate their South America east coast, Caribbean, Central America and US-Gulf Coast UCLA service, and updating its rotation.

The two-loop service was previously operated using 12 1,700 to 2,500teu ships, but from 7 June it will be operated using seven 3,800teu vessels.

The service’s new rotation is Veracruz, Altamira, Houston, Cartagena, Suape, Santos, Rio Grande, Navegantes, Paranaguá, Santos, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, Puerto Cabello, Cartagena and Veracruz.
