Shipping deal likely during PM’s visit to Singapore

A bilateral maritime agreement between Bangladesh and Singapore will be high on agenda when Prime Minister Khaleda Zia embarks on a two-day visit to the South East Asian country March 20. “The shipping agreement will be signed on March 21 to reduce 15 per cent shipping cost with a country (Singapore) that accounts for nearly 60 per cent of our export and import,” said a senior Shipping Ministry official.
