Image of the Day: CSL Boxship Connects Adriatic to Far East

The image shows the giant containership Xin Qin Huang Dao, owned by CSL, being towed to the Vecon container terminal of Porto Marghera in Venice, Italy.

The 69308-tonne Xin Qin Huang Dao is one of the 10 ships that shipping companies CMA-CGM, China Shipping Container Line (CSL) and UASC, partnering under the name of Ocean3, will use to get to Northern Adriatic ports from the Far East markets.

The ships will dock at the Northern Adriatic ports (Venice, Trieste, Koper and Rijeka), creating a weekly direct link between the Far East and the North East and its bordering hinterland.
