IMCA Gets New Diving Technical Adviser

Tim Helsdon has joined the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) team as a technical adviser – diving.

Tim will be working with Bryan McGlinchy, the senior diving technical adviser, and fellow adviser, Peter Sieniewicz.

IMCA’s Diving Division has some 330 member companies globally and is concerned with all aspects of equipment, operations and personnel related to offshore diving operations.

The Division provides its members with advice on ways in which diving operations can be carried out safely and efficiently anywhere in the world.

Tim will be a great addition to our busy technical team. He has a lifetime’s experience in the diving industry and possesses in-depth engineering knowledge of life support and dive systems,” said Richard Benzie, IMCA’s technical director.

Tim Helsdon said: “As a dive systems consultant with over 27 years of operational experience in the diving industry I have amassed a wide knowledge of key industry guidelines and feel that I have much to contribute. Now I can bring all my knowledge to bear in a role that means I can help to ensure ever-greater safety and efficiency levels in offshore diving around the world.”
