Imenco Wins Contract for Helicopter Refueling System at Greater Ekofisk Area, Off Norway

 

Imenco is awarded a contract by SMOE Pte Ltd. The contract is for a new Helicopter Refueling System at Greater Ekofisk Area 2/4, as the platform will have the busiest Helicopter traffic in the North Sea.

The contract will include delivery of a Dispenser Unit, Defueling Unit, Storage Skid, Sample Skid, Laydown Skid, Pump Unit, included necessary Engineering work for the project. The Helicopter Refueling package is a highly advanced semi-automatic system integrated with PLS and monitoring capability. This gives the user a unique system with good capasety both for fueling and for quality testing 24/7. Total order value for the contract is over USD 1.7 Mill. and the delivery will take place in April 2012.

Ekofisk is an oil field in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea about 200 miles (320 km) southwest of Stavanger. Discovered in 1969, it remains one of the most important oil fields in the North Sea. Production began in 1971after the construction of a series of off-shore platforms by Phillips Petroleum Company. Oil production is planned to continue until at least 2050.
