IndianOil, GAIL ink Mou with Dhamra LNG Terminal

IndianOil and GAIL said they have signed a memorandum of understanding with Dhamra LNG Terminal Private Limited, a company owned by Adani Enterprises.

Dhamra LNG Terminal’s project, to be located at Dhamra Port in Bhadrak district of Odisha, will include an onshore LNG regasification facility with a capacity of 5 mtpa, the companies said in a joint statement on Wednesday.

Under the terms of the memorandum of understanding, IndianOil and GAIL would reserve regasification capacity in the proposed terminal to supply regasified LNG in the gas markets in the eastern part of the country.

IndianOil and GAIL would also have the option to hold equity in Dhamra LNG Terminal at a later date, the statement added.
